Chris Faulk is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Muay Thai Fitness Instructor through the National Exercise and Sport Trainers Association. After finishing his collegiate tennis career at Washington & Jefferson College in 2010, Chris began training in Muay Thai Kickboxing as a means to improve his own personal fitness and develop a new skill set. After two years of self-training he began working with Master Mark Shrader in the technical aspects of boxing, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Chris also spent a brief period of time working on his Muay Thai skills at Stout Training; Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Martial Arts and Fitness, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Trained under Mark Shrader himself, Chris brings a deep knowledge of boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing techniques to Shrader’s MMA. As a trainer, he specializes in circuit training and high intensity interval training which has been shown to improve cardio and strength gains at a very fast rate.
Chris is also the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis and the Director of Intramural and Club Sports at Washington & Jefferson College and has been in those roles since January, 2012. He has also worked as a heavy bag boxing instructor at SHAPE Training in Pittsburgh, Pa.
